Contract Negotiations Update - Tentative Agreement Reached

 

The PDF document at the bottow of the page is the Tentative Agreement we have reached with the employer.

The Local 3937 Negotiations Team is recommending this contract be approved by the membership.

 Here are some of the highlights:

* 2.5% across-the-board wage increase starting on July 1, 2012 (Steps are frozen for both years)
* Administration's Health Care proposal accepted
* MoU agreement to continue working with the U Administration on Respect in the Workplace/Bullying
* Vacation Cash-out that would permit AFSCME 3937 members to cash out up to 40 hours of vacation in a fiscal year.

We will be scheduling information meetings around campus to provide more information. We are having our monthly membership meeting this Wednesday at 5:15pm at our office in Suite 327 of the U Tech Building and more information about the Tentative Agreement will be presented and discussed to the membership.

In accordance with state law and the AFSCME International constitution, only Members are allowed to vote on the contract proposal. If you are not currently a Member, but would like to vote on the contract, please contact our local office to find out how to become a Member. If you are not certain whether you are a member, you can fill out a membership card.
